I was born at Altus AFB in Oklahoma and spent my time as a child growing
up on Air Force bases throughout the United States. I then
graduated from Elkton High School. Upon graduation, I attended
SDSU where I graduated with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences, my
major being Early Childhood Education. I also received a degree
from DSU in Education, majoring in Elementary Education. I spent
six years teaching first grade in Elkton, obtaining my Masters degree
from SDSU in 2005. I later spent five years at St. Mary Catholic
Schools in Dell Rapids as a principal before heading back to Elkton in
2011 to serve as the K-12 principal. I reside on an acreage west of Elkton with my husband, who farms, and my daughter. |
